The City of Waynesboro Public Works Department seeks individuals for the Heavy Equipment Operator I or II position.
What You’ll Do:
Individuals will be required to perform difficult semiskilled and skilled work in the operation of motorized equipment in the performance of a variety of maintenance activities. Motorized equipment includes backhoes, skid steer, and/or excavator. Work is revolved around maintaining the City’s infrastructure/ facilities and utilities. This position is vital to keeping the City fully functional. Positions are available for Sewer, Water, and Stormwater.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Driver’s License

Must have thorough knowledge and experience in the safe operation of construction and automotive equipment

Must have thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operations Starting salary of $19.40/HR depending on experience.
