Tiberina Detroit Inc. is a Tier-1 supplier of body-in-white components and metal stampings for the automotive industry, specializing in robotized welding processes. Part of the Italy-based Tiberina Group, our Detroit operation represents the company’s first manufacturing facility in the United States.
Our original 75,000-square-foot facility began production in late 2020. Due to continued growth, operations have recently transitioned to a new, expanded location on Southfield Freeway in Detroit.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position reports directly to the on-site Maintenance Manager.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, improving equipment reliability, and supporting high-quality production in a team-based manufacturing environment. Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in maintaining safety, uptime, and product quality across all operations.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled electromechanical maintenance on equipment and facility systems per maintenance plans and production needs

Provide technical support for Stamping, Body-in-White, and plant utility systems

Set up and parameterize welding processes, including:

Resistance Spot Welding

Projection Welding
-
MIG/MAG (M) Welding

Support robot programming, PLCs, HMIs, inverters, drives, and related automation systems

Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance, including oil changes for gear motors and hydraulic pumps, and lubrication of chains, linear guides, and bearings

Install, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components

Complete work orders, maintenance records, machine ledgers, and lubrication schedules accurately and on time

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and increase equipment availability using WCM and PM tools (EWO, 5 Why, 5W1H, Kaizen, 4M, machine ledgers, etc.)

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

College degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial or automotive maintenance

Experience with Fanuc robotics and automated production environments (preferred)

Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic repairs, and mechanical adjustments

Ability to conduct visual inspections, mechanical measurements, and calibration checks using micrometers, calipers, and similar tools
