Olivelli Deli is seeking upbeat, dependable, and hospitality-driven team members to join our Deli Crew.
Olivelli Deli opened just recently in July. This is a unique opportunity to help build a brand-new concept from the ground up. As part of our opening team, you'll help establish the culture, systems, and guest experience that will define Olivelli Deli from the beginning.
Our team members wear many hats throughout the day, including taking orders, preparing sandwiches, pouring soft serve, assisting with light prep work, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and creating memorable guest experiences through warm, genuine hospitality.
Olivelli Deli will operate with a focus on consistency, attention to detail, respect for our ingredients, and care for one another. We're looking for people who enjoy working hard, having fun, and being part of a close-knit team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, gain food service and hospitality experience, and be part of a dynamic food service environment.
About Us
Olivelli Deli is part of the Tonidandel-Brown Restaurant Group with restaurants across Charlotte, including Haberdish, Supperland, Ever Andalo, Growlers Pourhouse, Olivelli Deli, and Leluia Hall. Three of our concepts (Supperland, Haberdish, and Ever Andalo) are Michelin-recommended.

Olivelli Deli is proof that great things don't require a lot of space, just intention. With only 82 square feet, our walk-up-only deli has no interior seating, no excess, and no shortcuts. Every detail was designed with purpose and care.
The menu is deliberately simple, allowing each ingredient to shine. We bake our house-made benne seed rolls fresh, import premium deli meats from Italy, make key components in-house (including our burrata), and even produce our soft serve from fresh cream and eggs. Everything we serve reflects our belief that great food starts with great ingredients handled with care.
More than a place to grab a sandwich, Olivelli Deli is designed to be part of the neighborhood. It's casual, connected, community-focused, and deeply rooted in NoDa.
Hours of Operation
Tuesday - Sunday, closed on Monday
8:00am - 8:00pm
Each day will include a breakfast/lunch shift and an evening shift.
Shift start times and end times will vary depending on the day and staffing but generally will include the following:
- Breakfast/Lunch Shift ~7am-3pm
- Evening Shift ~11am-close
Responsibilities
- Welcome and serve guests with friendly, genuine hospitality
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare sandwiches, soft serve, and other menu items to recipe and presentation standards
- Assist with light food preparation and daily opening/closing duties
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the shift
- Restock products and supplies as needed
- Work collaboratively with teammates in a fast-paced environment
- Help create a positive, energetic atmosphere for both guests and fellow team members
Qualifications / Experience
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a hospitality-first mindset
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service, especially quick service, fast-food, bakery, deli, coffee shop, etc. is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast experience is a plus!)
Compensation & Benefits
- $15/hour plus tips ($18/hour minimum guaranteed)
- Paid training at $13/hour
