Duties
- Install, configure, and calibrate audiovisual equipment including video conferencing systems, sound systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues promptly to minimize downtime during live events or scheduled operations.
- Operate and manage AV equipment during meetings, conferences, and live event productions to ensure optimal audio and visual quality.
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints related to AV system installation and maintenance projects.
- Perform routine maintenance on AV hardware and software components to ensure longevity and reliable performance.
- Implement cabling solutions using hand tools while adhering to electrical codes and safety standards for low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored AV solutions that exceed expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the AV industry with hands-on knowledge of AV system installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong electrical experience including reading electrical schematics, implementing audio systems, and understanding telecommunication wiring.
- Proficiency in control system programming for AV systems as well as digital signal processing techniques.
- Skilled in computer networking concepts essential for configuring video conferencing systems and networked AV equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to AV control systems, video conferencing platforms, and hardware components.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools for cabling, equipment setup, and mechanical adjustments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
- Knowledge of electrical schematic reading, low voltage wiring practices, and implementing telecommunication infrastructure.
- Experience managing live event AV production projects from setup through execution with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
