Responsibilities:
Shop Lead responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance shop, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with safety standards
- Supervising and directing the activities of mechanics and technicians, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing technical guidance
- Inspecting and diagnosing vehicle and equipment issues, ensuring timely and accurate repairs
- Scheduling and prioritizing maintenance and repair work to minimize vehicle downtime and optimize fleet availability
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, company policies)
- Coordinating with other departments, including operations and dispatch, to ensure vehicles are serviced and ready for use
- Training, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of shop staff, providing ongoing development opportunities
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts usage, and labor costs
- Implementing and enforcing shop policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment
- Responding to and resolving escalated issues, including emergency repairs and breakdowns
- Other duties as assigned
This is an on-site position.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for the position should possess the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics or automotive technology is preferred
- 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Strong, proven record of safety and performance (with previous employer)
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, heavy trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles, and related equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex mechanical problems
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and compliance with DOT regulations
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and shop management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Position: Shop Foreman
Location: Dodge City, KS
Full-Time | Monday – Friday 7:00am-5:30pm
Every other Saturday 7am-12:00pm, will be added in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections
- Troubleshoot
- Complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate service records
Qualifications:
- Diesel mechanic/Foreman experience preferred
- ️ Diesel Certificate
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
