Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. In this energetic role, you will operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Your expertise in commercial driving will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, handle different types of freight, and be an essential part of our logistics operation. SIGN ON BONUS OF $1000 and 401k as soon as you start. Driver must have at least 1 year experience Flatbed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of trucks such as flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Navigate route driving with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Manage freight handling tasks including securing loads on flatbeds or tankers and verifying shipment accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial vehicles; delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers,and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods when necessary.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations governing commercial transportation.
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Additional skills such as experience with freight handling equipment or certifications for specialized trucks are a plus.
