Personal CPA / Senior Tax Accountant (Multi-Year Tax Cleanup & Ongoing Financial Management)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to become our long-term personal and business CPA. This is not a one-time tax preparation role—we are looking for someone who can clean up multiple years of financial records, prepare and file any outstanding tax returns, organize our finances, and help us maintain accurate records going forward.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, responsive, and experienced working with business owners, real estate investments, LLCs, and high-net-worth individuals.
Responsibilities
- Review and organize multiple years of financial records.
- Prepare and file outstanding federal and state tax returns.
- Identify missing documents, deductions, and tax-saving opportunities.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Clean up bookkeeping and financial records.
- Work with us to organize our finances for future tax years.
- Provide ongoing tax planning and year-round CPA support.
- Advise on business structure, real estate, LLCs, and investment-related tax matters.
- Coordinate with bookkeepers and other financial professionals as needed.
- Ensure all filings are accurate and completed on time.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation and accounting experience.
- Extensive experience with multi-year tax cleanups and back tax filings.
- Experience working with business owners, LLCs, partnerships, and real estate investments.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Highly responsive and able to explain complex tax matters in simple terms.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and professional tax software.

Compensation
Compensation is negotiable based on experience. We are looking for the right long-term professional rather than simply the lowest-cost option.
