Atlas Installations is hiring a hands-on Traveling Retail Installation Lead for retail and commercial interior projects across the country. This is not a desk-only superintendent role. You will install, solve field problems, and lead a small crew when the job calls for it.
The right person can read a scope, walk into an active store, protect finished spaces, execute clean work, document the result, and communicate clearly without constant supervision.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Personally install retail fixtures, displays, shelving, casework, millwork, architectural finishes, and related components.
- Read scopes, plans, elevations, and installation instructions; confirm layout, sequence, and site conditions before work begins.
- Lead installers and helpers when assigned: set the pace, divide work, inspect quality, and correct problems before they become callbacks.
- Solve field-fit, missing-material, damaged-product, and site-condition issues without creating unnecessary delays.
- Communicate with Atlas project contacts, store teams, clients, and other trades professionally.
- Provide clear daily updates and complete before, during, and after photo documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area inside active retail and commercial environments.
- Travel to projects nationwide and adjust to changing schedules, locations, and scopes.
YOU MAY BE A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE
- Hands-on experience in retail or commercial installation, finish carpentry, millwork, casework, fixtures, displays, store rollouts, or comparable field service work.
- Experience leading a small crew while still performing installation work yourself.
- The ability to read a scope or drawing, plan the work, identify conflicts, and finish without constant direction.
- Reliable basic hand and power tools appropriate for commercial installation work.
- A dependable smartphone and the discipline to send organized photos, updates, and closeout information.
- Professional communication, good judgment, and respect for customers, stores, finished products, and other trades.
- The ability and willingness to travel extensively and work the schedule required by the project.
BE READY TO SHOW US
- Examples or photos of recent work.
- The tools you normally bring to a project.
- Your travel availability and home market.
- References or project contacts who can speak to your reliability and field performance.
- How you handled a real installation problem when the scope, site, or material did not match the plan.
