Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teachers to join our community! The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Our program integrates nature based experiences, outdoor exploration, and interactive gardening to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for nature from an early age.
This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a fun and educational manner.
Must be willing to work 10am - 5:30pm. Must be okay with hours gradually increasing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students.
- Assess and document children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the needs of all students, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education.
Requirements
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learners effectively.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Background in early childhood education or related field is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is beneficial.
- Ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional manner.
- A nurturing attitude and passion for teaching young children are essential for success in this role.
- Must be willing to garden with children
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
