At L&L Academy, we believe the earliest months of life matter deeply. We are looking for a warm, kind, dependable, go-getter to lead one of our infant classrooms with care, confidence, and heart.
This role is for someone who truly understands babies, enjoys building relationships with families, and wants to collaborate with a thoughtful team of educators. The right person is observant, nurturing, proactive, and excited to create a calm, engaging classroom where infants feel safe to explore and grow.
We are building a school where teachers feel supported and respected as professionals. Our infant program follows a RIE-inspired approach (Resources for Infant Educarers). Experience with RIE is a wonderful bonus. If you are new to it, we simply ask that you are open, eager to learn, and willing to grow in your practice.
We know infant teaching is meaningful work, but it is also real work. Great infant teachers are often asked to do a lot, and too many workplaces leave them feeling unsupported or unseen. We work hard to build something different. We want our teachers to feel valued, backed by leadership, connected to a team, and proud of the work they do each day.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Leadership growth opportunities
- Supportive, team-centered culture
- Beautiful, thoughtfully designed learning environments
- Paid time off and holidays
- Health, long-term disability, short-term disability, life, dental, and vision insurance offered
- 401(k) with company match
- Childcare benefits (if applicable)
- Ongoing professional development and training
We believe teachers deserve to work in an environment where they feel appreciated, supported, and inspired to keep growing in their craft.

What We’re Looking For
The teachers who thrive in this role tend to be people who are:
- Naturally warm, patient, and kind
- Dependable and professional
- A go-getter who notices what needs to be done
- Knowledgeable about children and infant development
- Calm and steady in a busy environment
- Collaborative and supportive of teammates
- Curious, open to feedback, and eager to grow
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has strong leadership skills, takes responsibility, and leads with both competence and warmth. We value teachers who know how to support a classroom well, work closely with others, and create a positive environment for both children and staff.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- At least 19 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university
- Six semester hours (or nine quarter hours) in courses related directly to child care and/or child development from birth to age six
- A great attitude and a strong sense of teamwork
Previous experience in an infant classroom and familiarity with RIE practices are a plus, but we welcome teachers who are eager to learn and grow.
Growth Opportunities
We believe growth should be real here, not just something listed in a job post.
Everyone on our executive team started in the classroom as either an assistant teacher or a lead teacher and worked hard to grow into leadership. Because of that, we understand this work firsthand, and we value team members who take ownership, lead with heart, and show strong judgment.
We are looking for someone who is not only a strong leader, but also deeply competent, warm, and dependable. In our experience, the teachers who grow the fastest are the ones who take responsibility, support their team, and naturally become mentors within their classroom.
We have all been there before, and we know what it takes to grow. If you are someone who wants to keep learning, lead well, and make a real impact, there is room for that here.
If you are someone who values teamwork, loves children, and wants to be part of a warm and growing school community, we would love to meet you.
