Position Summary:
We're seeking an experienced MDU Supervisor to oversee installation, repair, and maintenance work within Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) for telecommunications services. This role requires strong leadership, field experience, and a solid understanding of coax and fiber plant within apartment complexes, condos, and commercial multi-unit buildings. Responsibilities:
- Supervise technicians performing installation, splicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance work in MDUs
- Coordinate daily job assignments, scheduling, and workflow to meet project timelines
- Communicate effectively with property managers, building representatives, and internal teams
- Inspect and audit completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with construction standards
- Read and interpret building blueprints, riser diagrams, and utility layouts
- Ensure proper installation of coax, fiber, splitters, taps, and related hardware
- Identify and resolve site issues, escalations, and construction challenges
- Maintain accurate documentation, production reports, and project records
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to field technicians
- Enforce DOTCOM safety procedures and ensure all job sites follow OSHA guidelines
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience in telecommunications construction or installation
- Prior experience working in MDUs, commercial buildings, or structured wiring environments
- Strong understanding of coax and fiber plant, RF levels, and signal distribution
- Supervisory or crew lead experience preferred
- Ability to read prints, riser diagrams, and construction documentation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors and outdoors as needed
