Responsibilities
- Safely climb trees using rigging techniques, harnesses, and climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches efficiently and securely.
- Conduct thorough tree assessments to identify health issues, structural weaknesses, or hazards that require intervention.
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth, remove dead or hazardous limbs, and shape trees for aesthetic appeal.
- Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to map and document tree locations, health status, and maintenance history.
- Assist in landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics.
- Apply knowledge of horticulture principles to ensure proper tree care practices that support growth and vitality.
Requirements
- Proven growing experience with trees, shrubs, or landscape plants; horticulture background preferred.
- Ability to safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and rigging equipment with proper training or certification.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe removal or pruning of large branches or trees.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping tools is a plus for documenting work sites accurately.
- Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, planting, and health assessment.
- Physical fitness to climb trees regularly while wearing safety gear; comfort working at high heights in various weather conditions.
- Prior experience in landscaping or lawn care is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.

Pay: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour
