Duties
- Safely handle dogs of all breeds and sizes using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety.
- Perform thorough bathing, drying, brushing, and grooming procedures tailored to each pet’s needs.
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Monitor dogs’ health during grooming for signs of veterinary concerns or discomfort, communicating with veterinary staff as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with pet owners, explaining grooming processes, and addressing questions or concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or dog handling is required.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior management enhances your ability to work effectively with pets.
- Experience with veterinary or kennel environments provides valuable insight into animal care standards.
- Comfort with heavy lifting is necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment safely.
- Strong animal handling skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role.
