Position Summary
Western Mixer Parts is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Account Manager / Parts Sales Representative to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships throughout the ready-mix concrete industry. This position is responsible for selling concrete mixer truck parts, generating new accounts through cold calling and prospecting, and providing exceptional customer service to fleet managers, ready-mix producers, and truck maintenance professionals.
The ideal candidate has experience in the ready-mix industry, understands mixer truck equipment and parts, and is comfortable building relationships with customers while driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with ready-mix producers, fleet managers, shop supervisors, and truck maintenance personnel.
- Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, outbound sales efforts, and customer visits.
- Manage and grow an assigned territory and customer base.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate mixer truck parts and solutions.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on sales opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding product availability, pricing, and promotions.
- Work closely with inside sales, operations, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities within CRM systems.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and competitive offerings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in heavy-duty truck parts, construction equipment, or the ready-mix concrete industry.
- Strong knowledge of ready-mix trucks, concrete mixers, and related components.
- Proven ability to generate new business through cold calling and prospecting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling mixer truck parts, hydraulic components, drum rollers, water systems, PTOs, gearboxes, pumps, or related equipment.
- Existing relationships within the ready-mix concrete industry.
- Understanding of fleet maintenance operations and equipment downtime management.
