ABOUT OUR COMPANY:
We are a small financial firm specializing in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial management. We are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join our team. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter that can thrive both individually as well as in a team environment.
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of the Financial Advisor is to talk to clients about their financial objectives, risk tolerance, make recommendations and implement an appropriate financial plan. You must place the needs of the client first and provide exceptional service every single time. To excel in this tightly regulated role you should already have the appropriate licenses and a deep knowledge of all the latest financial products on the market.
This position will take on an established book of business. This position will also share time between our two locations-Lyons, Ohio and Angola, Indiana.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Most client appointments are in the office. Once in a while, a home visit is needed by a client.
- Answering client questions and giving financial advice.
- Handling client's needs. Facilitating rollovers and distributions, updating addresses, banking information, beneficiary information, etc.
- Managing and updating client portfolios.
- Advising strategies for clients in insurance coverage, investment planning, cash management and other areas to help them reach financial objectives.
- Contacting clients regularly to discover changes in their financial status.
- Building and maintaining the client base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in similar position
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Series 6 License Required (Series 7, 63 & 65 is preferred)
- Insurance License is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
Hours: This position can be 30-40 hours per week.
Our tax season runs from January 15-April 15:
Normal office hours during tax season are Monday-Friday 9:00am-5pm (evenings and Saturday by appointment only)
Off season runs from April 16 – January 14:
Normal office hours during off season are Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-4:30pm (evenings and Friday/Saturday by appointment only)
