Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements, linens, and serviceware
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Assist with food presentation and food handling to uphold safety standards and quality
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing dishes, refilling water glasses, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and fostering positive guest relations
- Support catering operations by assisting with food preparation, setup, and breakdown of events
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing when applicable
- Maintain food safety standards and adhere to proper food handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure seamless service delivery
- Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by demonstrating hospitality skills gained from restaurant or hotel experience
Skills
- Proven experience in the food industry or hospitality environment, especially in banquet or fine dining settings
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of wine service, food presentation, and catering operations is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with serving in hotel or restaurant settings enhances your ability to adapt quickly
- Competence in operating POS systems for order processing and billing purposes
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge of coffee service or beverage offerings is a plus
