Duties
- Develop and implement engaging Montessori-based curriculum tailored specifically for toddlers, emphasizing literacy education, math concepts, and sensory activities
- Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence, social-emotional growth, and early intervention strategies
- Manage daily classroom routines including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management to ensure a positive learning atmosphere
- Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, documenting milestones related to childhood development and early childhood education standards
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, share insights on child welfare, and support at-home learning strategies
- Incorporate physical education activities and movement-based lessons to promote healthy development and motor skills
- Maintain compliance with childcare regulations, safety protocols, and standards for daycare and private school environments
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Montessori methodology applied to toddler care and early childhood education
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development for preschool or daycare settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus
- Competence in teaching physical education activities and integrating literacy education into daily routines
- Knowledge of childhood development principles related to toddler care, preschool experience, and childcare best practices
