School of Political Science, Public Affairs, Legal & Security Studies invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a specialization in Global Security Studies, International Security, or a closely related field. We seek candidates whose teaching and research address global security challenges broadly understood, including but not limited to international conflicts, terrorism and political violence, cybersecurity, human security, border security, transnational crime, migration, environmental security, foreign policy, international organizations, or regional security.
The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s programs in Global Studies and Global Security Studies and may be expected to help coordinate curricular and student engagement activities related to these areas, including Master of Public Affairs’ Global Security Studies. The school is especially interested in candidates who can teach undergraduate courses in international relations, global security, global studies, and related areas, while also contributing to the department’s broader Global Security curriculum.
