In-Person Flooring Estimator

Shoomadoggie Flooring is a family-oriented company looking for an experienced, dependable Flooring Estimator and Project Manager to join our team.
This is an in-person, field-based position—not a remote position. You will meet customers at their homes and businesses, perform on-site measurements, discuss flooring options, prepare accurate estimates, present proposals, and close sales. You will also help manage sold projects from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site consultations, measurements, and jobsite evaluations.
- Help customers select flooring that fits their needs, style, and budget.
- Prepare and present complete, accurate estimates.
- Follow up with customers and confidently close sales.
- Plan projects and coordinate materials, schedules, and installation details.
- Communicate directly with vendors regarding pricing, availability, ordering, and delivery.
- Schedule and manage installers and subcontractors.
- Work closely with the office team to keep projects organized and moving forward.
- Monitor active projects, communicate with customers, and resolve issues promptly.
- Help ensure every project stays within its approved scope, schedule, and budget.
Qualifications
- At least two years of flooring installation, estimating, sales, or project-management experience.
- Strong knowledge of flooring products, installation methods, and jobsite conditions.
- Accurate measuring, estimating, and mathematical skills.
- Confidence working with customers, presenting proposals, and closing sales.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Experience coordinating vendors, installers, subcontractors, and office staff.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to local jobsites.
Compensation
$55,000–$65,000 annually, plus KPI-based bonuses, depending on experience, estimating ability, sales performance, project-management skills, and software proficiency.
