Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Conduct infection control measures in compliance with health regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient appointments.
- Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for children in the dental office.
Skills
- Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in dental care.
- Experience with Eaglesoft
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
- Ability to manage medical records efficiently while ensuring confidentiality.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail in documentation review and compliance with infection control protocols.
