Job Summary
Join our team as a Fire System Inspector and become a vital part of ensuring safety and compliance across commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will conduct thorough inspections and testing of automatic fire suppression systems in commercial kitchens and paint spray booths as well as fire extinguishers. Duties
- Perform detailed inspections and testing of automatic fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers using hand tools, power tools, and specialized test equipment.
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and system design documents to understand system layouts, operation, and and installation details.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure fire protection systems are installed according to plans, specifications, IFC, NFPA, and local fire codes.
- Document inspection results accurately; prepare detailed reports on system performance, deficiencies, and recommended repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with construction teams, service technicians, and clients to ensure timely completion of system inspections.
- Assist in sales activities related to fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers by providing technical expertise during client consultations.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, IFC, and NFPA is a positive.
- Skilled in using field service equipment for testing.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with team members.
- Valid certifications in fire protection are advantageous but not required. On the job training and certification is available. Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
