About the Role
We’re looking for a joyful, motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant who loves helping children learn, grow, and develop independence. In this role, you will bring play, creativity, and compassion into every session as you support our occupational therapists in delivering high‑quality, child-centered care. If you enjoy turning everyday moments into meaningful milestones, you’ll feel right at home with us.
What You'll Do
- Provide engaging, play-based therapy sessions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support children with a wide range of needs, including autism, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and feeding difficulties
- Help kids build essential skills for independence--from fine motor development to emotional regulation to daily living tasks
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans and track progress
- Communicate with families in a warm, supportive way to help them feel confident and empowered
- Contribute to a fun, positive, and team-oriented clinic culture
What You Bring
- Current certification as a COTA and eligibility for state licensure
- A genuine love for working with children and their families
- Creativity, flexibility, and a playful spirit
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new approaches
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care
- Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs such as dressing, feeding, grooming, and toileting
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and case management principles
- Knowledge of speech therapy integration when necessary for comprehensive patient care
- Skilled in developing care plans tailored to pediatric patients’ unique needs
