Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Pump Operator to join our KAM team. As a Concrete Pump Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining concrete pumping equipment to ensure the successful completion of various construction projects. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment to transfer and distribute concrete to designated locations
- Set up and prepare the pump for operation, including connecting hoses, valves, and pipelines
- Safely maneuver the pump truck to access work areas and position the boom for precise concrete placement
- Monitor and control the flow and consistency of concrete during pumping operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning, greasing, and inspecting for any damages or malfunctions
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Paperwork: Complete and submit pump inspection forms, job ticket and maintenance forms. Keep an accurate timecard of time worked.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Pump Operator or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming, installation, and finishing techniques
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Familiarity with operating other construction vehicles, such as dump trucks, is a plus
- Ability to dig, pave, build, and perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self Motivated and Punctual (ON TIME)
**Common sense is more important than book learning, and a positive aƫtitude carries a lot of weight.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to meet DOT requirements for hearing and seeing.
- Must be able to verbally communicate to others.
- Good manual dexterity to climb on and around the pump in all weather conditions common to the area of the country.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to overhead position.
- Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must have the balance and dexterity to maneuver around a construction site, and must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be drug and alcohol free.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Employees must be available during the "core" work hours of 4:00am to 4:30pm. Overtime is required as needed to meet deadlines on jobs and/or repairs. On call Saturdays as per rotating schedule.
