Job Summary:
Must have experience scheduling Orthopedic Surgeries.
Responsible for scheduling surgeries with multiple hospitals and surgery centers. Will coordinate with physicians, patients, surgery centers and medical vendors to ensure all required paperwork is completed.
Surgery Scheduler Primary Duties
· Schedules all inpatient and Outpatient surgeries with Hospitals and ASC.
· Ensure all Surgeries are posted on Physicians Surgery Calendar.
· Obtains authorization for all surgical procedures
· Coordinates with additional physicians, company representatives, or other institutions to assure that the patient’s and physician’s needs to complete the procedure are met.
· Obtains necessary medical clearance from Primary physician and/or Cardiologist as needed.
· Obtains patients benefits. Fills out surgery contract and collects patient’s estimated cost.
· Ensures that patients have preoperative information that will allow them to appropriately prepare for their surgical procedure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
