Immediate needs in Everett and Mukilteo
We are seeking several compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with specific health needs such as dementia, disabilities, or those requiring hospice care. The ideal candidates will be patient, reliable, and skilled in various caregiving techniques to ensure the well-being and comfort of our clients.
Our caregivers are required to possess an HCA or a CNA license and are responsible for staying current on all required certifications. We will consider those who have completed their training and have scheduled their state testing.
Duties may include:
- Assist clients with daily living activities including but not limited to bathing, hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients through daily activities and or hobbies
- Cook and/or serve meals/snacks
- Implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each client.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties which may include laundry, dishes, etc.
- Support clients with mobility issues and assist them in moving around their home safely.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or memory-related conditions.
- Monitor changes in client's condition
- Communicate effectively with staff and families through clear written documentation.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals who have disabilities or require hospice care. At least 1 year experience desired.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and memory care strategies.
- Ability to perform basic tasks such as monitoring vital signs and administering CPR if needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Attention to detail in following care plans and maintaining cleanliness in the client's living space.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Able to read, write and speak in English.
- Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication (text, apps, etc)
