Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Description
Fabriweld Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Controls Group team. In this role, you will be a vital contributor to our production process, responsible for the precise mounting of components, assembly of electrical panels, and wiring of complex control systems.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Technical Execution:
- Electrical Panel Assembly: Build and assemble electrical panels with a high level of precision and personal pride.
- System Wiring: Run cables, conduit, and complex wiring harnesses on new and refurbished equipment according to provided schematics.
- Component Installation: Perform precise cuts on enclosures to install devices, receptacles, meters, and various other electrical components.
- High Voltage Operations: Safely work on and around high voltage equipment, up to a maximum of 600 volts.
Support & Problem Solving:
- Equipment Startup: Assist in the initial startup and testing of new and refurbished machinery.
- Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues during the assembly and testing phases.
- Process Collaboration: Support other manufacturing processes and team members as required to meet production goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in panel and machine building is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Tools: Must provide your own tools.
- Competencies: Resourceful and creative problem solver; ability to work well under pressure and with limited supervision.
- Self-Management: Strong multi-tasking, time management, and excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regular navigation of a busy shop floor environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, walk, and use fingers to feel and manipulate objects, tools, and controls.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Hours are dictated by workload and may require more than a typical 40-hour work week; overtime is paid when authorized.
