Position Overview
As an Occupational Health Technician, you will support daily clinic operations by assisting medical providers, triaging patients, performing occupational health testing, and ensuring accurate documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system. This role goes beyond traditional medical technician duties, offering opportunities to learn specialized occupational testing and contribute to workplace safety programs.
Schedule & Availability
- Full-time, in-person
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- After-hours call required at least one week per month
- Additional compensation provided for on-call coverage
Key Responsibilities
- Triage patients and assist with clinical intake
- Document patient encounters and testing results in the EHR
- Support medical providers during exams, procedures, and injury care
- Perform occupational health testing, including:
- Respirator fit testing
- Audiogram testing
- Pre-employment screening programs
- Vaccinations and immunizations
- Basic injury care and first aid
- Conduct breath alcohol testing, urine drug screenings, and DOT-compliant testing (training available)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment
- Assist with mobile or onsite employer services as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team
- Comfort with technology and EHR systems
- Professional, dependable, and detail‑oriented work ethic
Preferred Certifications & Experience
(Not required—training available)
- Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) certification
- Urine Drug Screen collection certification
- DOT specimen collection certification
- Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or medical assisting

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
