The Laborer supports the metal casting process by assisting with mold preparation, material handling, and finishing of cast products. We are currently hiring for several different job classes. This role involves working in a high-temperature industrial environment and requires strict adherence to safety procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced production setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing molds, cores, and casting materials for metal production
- Operate basic foundry equipment such as grinders, saws, and finishing tools
- Remove castings from molds and perform cleaning and finishing processes
- Load and unload raw materials, castings, and supplies
- Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or irregularities in cast products
- Clean work areas and maintain equipment to ensure safe operations
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including proper use of PPE
- Support furnace operations and material handling as needed
- Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to supervisors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a foundry, metal casting, or heavy industrial environment is a plus
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow detailed instructions
- Willingness to learn foundry processes, equipment, and safety procedures

Work Environment:
- Foundry/manufacturing floor with exposure to molten metal, high heat, dust, and noise
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant gear, gloves, face shields, and steel-toe boots
- Fast-paced production environment with strict safety standards
- This position is for second shift
