Position Summary: This is a clerical role that supports revenue cycle in various ways. The position will also cross train in other capacities to provide coverage for other department staff members when necessary for sick days or vacations.

- Minimum of 2 years medical office experience

Knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, abbreviations, techniques and surgical procedures
Professional reputation with high degree of energy, integrity, and positive spirit
Ability to organize and effectively work on multiple projects at one time
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with Excel is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Register ER auto patients from Incisions trauma dashboard
- Verify auto / health insurance from ER face sheets
- Contact patients for missing auto insurance information
- Contact patient concerning auto accident lawyer
- Maintain auto trauma spreadsheet
- Adding documents to patient chart
- Attach supporting documents and faxing ER auto claims
- Work ER self-pay claim worklist
- Work assigned claims worklist
- Update patient demographics
- Any assigned Special Project
