American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (Oncology) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency, with rotating day/night shifts available.

Inpatient Med/Surg Oncology unit in a cancer hospital and research setting
-
Patient population includes oncology cases involving chemotherapy administration, soft tissue malignancies, symptom management, and comorbidity management with a heavy focus on infection prevention and fall prevention protocols

Continuous cardiac monitoring is a core component of patient care on this unit
-
Patient ratio is 1:4
-
Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30); shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing needs

Special equipment includes GE B450 telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
-
Epic EMR experience is required

Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Current BLS certification required

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Dysrhythmia interpretation skills required

Required clinical skills: port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, IV insertion, assistance with chest tube insertion/removal, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management

Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Oncology experience is preferred but not required

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Candidates may switch representation without requiring a 30-day break between assignments

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
