Teacher’s Assistant – Preschool
First Christian Church Preschool (FCCP) is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Teacher’s Assistant to join our team. This position supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, faith-based learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with classroom routines, learning activities, meals, toileting, and transitions
- Actively supervise and engage with children throughout the day
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
- Support positive behavior guidance and individual student needs
- Communicate professionally with teachers, families, and administrators
- Follow all FCCP policies and Texas childcare licensing standards
- Participate in required training and staff meetings
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Previous childcare or preschool experience is preferred
- Must be dependable, patient, attentive, and willing to work as part of a team
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be able to lift children, sit on the floor, and remain active throughout the day
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; training may be provided
Schedule: Monday–Friday; hours will be discussed during the interview.
