Job Summary
Dexob LLC is seeking an experienced CDL-A driver to join an established OTR team operation hauling specialized and high-security freight throughout the United States. This is a long term opportunity for a professional driver who values strong earning potential, specialized freight experience, and percentage-based compensation with a clear path for increased pay.
Specialized Freight
Our operation handles freight that requires a high level of professionalism, safety, awareness, and responsibility, including:
High security freight, Explosives, hazardous material, hazardous, waste, port freight, other specialized shipments.
Because of the freight we handle, drivers must be able to successfully complete all required background, security, and qualification processes.
You do not need to already possess a security clearance to apply.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped for Hazmat, Tanker, or specialized freight across long-distance routes
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient and timely deliveries while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and cargo details in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure safety and compliance with trucking standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, report issues, and confirm delivery details
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and endorsements for Hazmat and Tanker certification
- Hazmat endorsement, tanker endorsement
- Must be comfortable, driving night shift
- Must be able to stay out 4-5 weeks
- Be dependable, safety, conscious, and professional
- Must communicate well and take care of assigned equipment
- Be able to meet applicable background and security requirements
- Be able to pass required, urine drug screening
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence
Highly Preferred Experience
- Verifiable tanker experience within the last 12 months
- Twic card
- Rolloff trailer experience
- Hauling explosives experience
- Hauling Specialize/hazmat freight
- Experience picking up and delivering from ports
Required Paid training in Joplin, MO
Paid training will be conducted Monday through Friday. We will provide transportation to Joplin, Missouri, lodging during training, lunch during training. You are not expected to pay your own way to Joplin or cover your own lodging for required training.
