Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including catering and banquet setups
- Serve food and beverages with friendly, in-person customer service that enhances guest satisfaction
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and dining areas following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace and food handling with precision and care
- Assist in food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service
- Follow all food safety management protocols to uphold high standards of hygiene and dietary compliance
Requirements
- Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices within the food industry
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including weight handling in the workplace with attention to safety
- Basic math skills for cash handling, portion control, and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor for in-person interactions
- Experience with POS systems for processing transactions accurately
- Previous catering or banquet experience is a plus; hospitality background is valued highly
- Barista experience or wine knowledge can be beneficial but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
