Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grooming Assistant / Bather to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist our expert groomers in ensuring that each pet receives the personalized attention they deserve. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and breeds and be focused on maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing appointments and maintaining grooming records.
- Maintain an inventory of grooming supplies and notify management of any shortages.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and questions professionally and courteously.
- Assist groomers with preparing pets for grooming services, including washing, drying, and brushing.
- Safely lift and handle dogs up to 50 pounds.
- Clean and sanitize grooming area, including tubs and grooming tables, to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Shampoo and condition coats using appropriate products, considering any special needs or conditions the pet may have.
- Check pets for any signs of skin or coat issues and report findings to groomers.
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of pets throughout the grooming process.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a pet care or grooming environment is a plus, but not required.
- Basic understanding of dog behavior and body language.
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and possess a strong work ethic.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
