Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Truck Driver to support our construction operations by transporting materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites. This role requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and experience operating heavy-duty trucks in a construction environment. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safety and compliance on the road and at job sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate dump trucks, flatbeds, lowboys, and other commercial vehicles to transport construction materials and equipment.

Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment or assist with manual loading/unloading.

Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting any issues or needed repairs.

Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and inspection reports.

Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

Assist with securing loads using chains, straps, or tarps as needed.

Communicate with dispatchers, site supervisors, and crew members to coordinate deliveries.

Perform minor vehicle maintenance and assist with equipment mobilization when required.
Required Qualifications:

Valid CDL Class A.

Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction or heavy equipment transport.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.

Familiarity with construction job sites and material handling.

Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, or other loading equipment is a plus.

Strong communication and time management skills.

Basic mechanical knowledge for pre-trip inspections and minor repairs.
Work Environment:

Setting: Outdoor construction sites, highways, and urban/rural roads.

Conditions: Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.

Hazards: Requires strict adherence to safety protocols to avoid injury from traffic, equipment, or load handling.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.

Frequent climbing in and out of trucks.

Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.

Manual dexterity for securing loads and operating equipment.
Schedule: May include early mornings, long shifts, overtime, and weekend work depending on project timelines and weather conditions.
