Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a Registered Nurse - Operating Room, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of surgical procedures. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive the highest level of care, and you will be responsible for supporting the surgical team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that patients receive the appropriate level of care throughout their surgical journey.
- Interact favorably with the patient, the patient's family, physicians, and co-workers in a professional manner.
-Anticipates possible critical events and has prior provisions ready to deal with such events.
- Ensures that infection control procedures are followed.
- Ensure patient safety throughout procedures and functions as patient advocate during facility stay.
- Ensure that all patient information is documented accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the Operating Room.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team.
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in surgical nursing
- Knowledge of maintaining a sterile field and all operating room procedures
- Experience in ortho, spine, pain management, bariatrics, general surgery and other surgical specialties.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide patient education and support.
