The Opportunity
We are expanding our Caribbean presence and seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Territory Sales Manager to develop and grow our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) product manufacturer business across the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, prospecting new business, and serving as the local face of KGI in two of our most important Caribbean markets.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow a portfolio of CPG product manufacturer accounts across Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
- Prospect and win new business — identifying manufacturers who buy chemicals, ingredients, fragrances, flavors and packaging.
- Build technical and commercial relationships with purchasing, R&D, and operations contacts.
- Develop account plans, quote and negotiate pricing, and drive year-over-year territory growth.
- Coordinate with KGI's team on logistics, supply, pricing, and product specifications, including the development of local inventory programs to support manufacturing needs.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and customer needs.
- Represent KGI at regional trade events and customer visits.
- Regular travel within the territory is required with the expectation of 1-2 weeks/month (or 5-10 days/month).
What You Bring
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in chemicals, ingredients, fragrances, flavors and packaging, or distribution serving manufacturers.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Established relationships or strong working knowledge of the Puerto Rico and/or Dominican Republic CPG manufacturing landscape (strongly preferred).
- A proven track record of managing accounts and growing revenue in a territory.
- Comfort with technical product conversations (ingredients, packaging specs, etc.) and the ability to learn our product lines quickly.
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
- Proven ability to visit 4-6 customers per day while traveling overseas, including comfort with renting a car and navigating within Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- CRM/ERP experience (NetSuite a plus).
