Coveted Financial Services provides Fractional CFO, accounting, and advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. Our foundation, and what separates us from our competitors, is our understanding of how to help clients become bankable and ensure they have the proper line of credit or debt structures in place to support and grow their business. We do not only analyze the P&L and balance sheet like a CFO would; we also underwrite our clients the way a bank would, helping them understand what lenders look for, how to operate within loan covenants, and how to maintain access to the capital they need to take their business where they want it to go.
We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst with a strong commercial banking and underwriting background to support our advisory team and clients.
Position Summary
The Credit Analyst will work closely with our Fractional CFOs to evaluate financial information, assess creditworthiness, support financing requests, prepare lending packages for clients, and help clients understand how banks evaluate their business. This role is ideal for an individual with commercial banking experience who can combine traditional credit underwriting with practical advisory support to help business owners become more bankable, maintain strong lender relationships, and grow their business within their loan covenants.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow reports.
- Perform commercial credit and underwriting analysis.
- Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and identify lending risks.
- Prepare financing packages for banks and other lending institutions.
- Develop financial projections, forecasts, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist clients in obtaining lines of credit, term loans, SBA loans, equipment financing, and other lending solutions.
- Gather and organize documentation required for lender submissions.
- Review key financial ratios, debt service coverage, liquidity, and covenant compliance.
- Support Fractional CFOs with client financial analyses and special projects.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, or commercial lending.
- Prior commercial credit underwriting experience required.
- Strong understanding of:
- Commercial lending
- Financial statement analysis
- Cash flow analysis
- Credit risk assessment
- Loan underwriting
- Financial forecasting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
