Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations on job sites
- Work closely with site supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and instructions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate multiple types of heavy machinery
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Experience in construction, roadwork, or site development
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of GPS-guided equipment systems
- Mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs
