The Service Technician at Lywood Automation is a technically skilled and client-focused professional responsible for supporting, maintaining, and repairing customer systems. This role ensures clients receive prompt and effective service by troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, implementing system upgrades, and providing timely emergency support when needed. The Service Technician plays a critical role in upholding Lywood’s commitment to reliability, responsiveness, and technical excellence.
This position is paid weekly on an hourly basis.
Duties
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, resolving system issues efficiently and professionally.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems in customer automation systems.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of client equipment.
- Identify system improvement opportunities and coordinate the implementation of software or hardware upgrades.
- Respond to emergency service calls as part of the on-call rotation, ensuring minimal client downtime.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems and escalate issues when needed.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all service activities, including issues encountered, steps taken, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Ensure all service work aligns with Lywood Automation’s standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding service status, system performance, and suggested next steps.
- Stay up to date on industry developments, product updates, and recent technologies relevant to Lywood’s systems and services.

- REQUIRED:
- 3+ years of service experience in automation, construction, or related technical fields.
- PREFERRED:
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Automation, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical service or field technician role, preferably in the automation or industrial systems industry.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
