Job Description
TKS Security is looking for an experienced Security & Fire Technician to lead installations, troubleshoot complex systems, support customers, and mentor other technicians.
This senior-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, taking ownership, and continuing to learn as technology evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security and fire system installations from start to finish
- Troubleshoot access control, video, intrusion, fire alarm, networking, and integrated systems
- Mentor and support other technicians
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide technical recommendations
- Maintain TKS standards for safety, quality, cleanliness, documentation, and code compliance
- Complete project records, service tickets, and timesheets
- Maintain certifications and stay current with industry technology

Requirements
- 5+ years of low-voltage, security, fire alarm, electrical, or related experience
- Strong installation, programming, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Completed or in-progress FAST license (Fire Alarm Specialty Technician)
- Ability to independently lead projects and mentor technicians
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with Michigan codes, licensing, and inspection requirements
- Ability to meet applicable background and licensing requirements
