Janitorial Technician I, Hourly - Part Time
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for general janitorial cleaning at company owned sites and with custodial contracts as part of a crew or while under direct supervision.
JOB FUNCTIONS
General janitorial cleaning tasks:
Clean building floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, or wet mopping them
Dusting, polishing, and surface cleaning
Clean restrooms using process to disinfect / sanitize, and stock supplies
Gather and empty trash / recycling
Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic while on the job site.
Follow directions at the job site and complete work assignments in a timely manner.
Maintain the established quality standard level of cleanliness and appearance of the job site at all times.
Responsible for efficient supply and equipment use.
Responsible for following all safety and security guidelines for each site.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, carrying, pushing, talking, hearing, and seeing.
WORK CONDITIONS
Inside generally 100%, however, may include outside work on occasion. Exposure may include noise or vibration, fumes, and hazards.
Moderate emotional effort. Work environment sometimes hectic with occasional high stress. Short deadlines requiring some overtime. Some holidays and weekends required.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Some experience in general janitorial cleaning preferred.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Position directly reports to the Janitorial Manager. Receives supervision from assigned Janitorial staff while on duty – Janitorial Supervisor if working on a crew; Janitorial Manager if working as a day porter at corporate.
