Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Teacher to inspire and empower students in their journey to master English language skills. Duties
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to varying proficiency levels, including beginner to advanced learners
- Implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate multimedia tools, digital platforms (LMS), and interactive activities to enhance language acquisition
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and regular feedback sessions
- Ensure all student ESOL information is current in student information systems and compliance files
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and supportive learning environment for all students
- Monitor and document student progress, including language assessments and instructional data
- Complete and maintain all required ESOL documentation, paperwork, and compliance records accurately and on time
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special educational requirements
- Incorporate literacy education, math integration, and other subject areas to promote holistic learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, share best practices, and participate in professional development opportunities focused on childhood development and learning technology
- Participate in ESOL meetings, staffing, and parent conferences as required
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, services, and compliance requirements
- Ensure federal, state, and district ESOL guidelines are followed at all times
- Attend required professional development related to ESOL instruction and compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), or a related field.
- Valid ESOL certification (state-approved endorsement required)
- Proven classroom experience teaching ESOL or similar language programs in diverse settings
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools to support remote or blended instruction
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies for language learners
- Background in childhood development, literacy education, math integration, and behavior management techniques
- Prior experience in private school environments or Montessori settings is a plus
Pay: $47,500.00 - $54,311.00 per year
