Winchester Imaging is seeking a reliable, professional, and patient-focused individual to join our Patient Access team.
As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for patients and play an important role in creating a smooth, positive experience from scheduling through check-in. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, providers, and coworkers.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a supportive, team-focused workplace.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and guests with a friendly, professional demeanor and manage in-person customer service interactions.
- Verify patient information, schedule appointments, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Collect and input accurate demographics, insurance details, and authorizations; update records as needed.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and communicate clearly with patients about appointments and requirements.
- Maintain a tidy front desk and medical office environment; uphold patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Medical administrative support experience in a clinical or office setting
- Strong front desk or patient interaction experience, with in-person customer service
- Proficiency with medical terminology and standard office software
- Familiarity with medical/dental office workflows and scheduling
- Excellent communication and organization skills; ability to handle patient inquiries and insurance-related questions
- Prior dental office experience is a plus
Pay: $20.00 per hour
