Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Follow planned routes diligently, managing delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals at each destination.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to report progress, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal regulations.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers in a team setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks and handling various freight types such as refrigerated loads or flatbed cargo.
- Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling equipment like forklifts or dump trucks is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to freight movement including lifting, securing loads, and operating specialized trucks like tanker or roll-off vehicles.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance in all aspects of commercial driving.
