Overview:
The Kitchen & Front of House Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of both BOH and FOH. This role is ideal for a working manager who is comfortable jumping on the line, expediting, running food, coaching servers, and managing inventory and food costs.
You will be accountable for service standards, team performance, inventory controls, and delivering a consistently excellent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily FOH and BOH operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Lead, train, and coach , servers, bartenders, line cooks, prep, and dish staff
- Create and manage staff schedules to balance labor cost with business needs
- Maintain a strong floor presence during service (greeting guests, supporting staff, resolving issues)
- Ensure all opening, shift, and closing procedures are followed correctly
Inventory, Food Cost & Purchasing
- Track and manage inventory for food, beverages, and supplies
- Place and receive orders; maintain relationships with vendors
- Monitor and control food cost, waste, and portioning
- Implement systems for accurate inventory counts and par levels
Guest Experience & Service Standards
- Ensure high standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation
- Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally
- Coordinate with the kitchen to maintain ticket times and food quality
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in line with local regulations
- Ensure staff compliance with alcohol service and food safety policies
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the hospitality industry (restaurant, bar, nightclub, or similar)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a management or supervisor role
- Demonstrated experience with inventory management and food cost control
- Strong understanding of FOH and BOH operations
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Kitchen experience
