Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Cook menu items accurately and efficiently, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support the team during busy service periods by handling food service tasks promptly and professionally
- Assist with meal assembly, portioning, and plating to ensure consistency and quality
- Handle food items safely during storage, preparation, and serving processes
- Contribute to menu planning efforts by providing feedback on ingredient quality and preparation techniques
Skills
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized dietary needs
- Proven food preparation and cooking skills within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with excellent time management skills
- Experience with catering or large-scale food service is advantageous
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in food presentation and quality assurance
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
