Located in Western New York, we have cultivated a very loyal customer base that expects to be treated honestly and fairly. We are currently seeking an Experienced Service Advisor to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team.
Position Overview:
As a Service Advisor, you will be the liaison between our valued customers and our service technicians. You will help customers understand the maintenance and repair needs of their vehicles while ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a professional, friendly manner-attitude is everything!
- Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and discuss service needs
- Listen to customers and clearly translate repair needs to technician
- Prepare accurate repair orders and cost estimates
- Attention to detail and multi-task is a must
- Communicate with technicians and keep customers updated on the status of their vehicles
- Handle minor customer complaints/concerns
- Recommend additional services based on vehicle inspection reports and manufacturer guidelines
- Follow up after service visits to ensure satisfaction and build long-term customer relationships
- Adhere to all GM and dealership policies and procedures
- Ability to be analytical and problem solve
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor, preferably at a GM dealership
- Strong knowledge of GM vehicles and GM Global Connect system
- Excellent communication, organizational, and sales skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive or customer service training a plus
- Proven record of success in dealership service experience and a strong understanding of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
