A well-established manufacturing company serving industry-leading OEM customers across North America is seeking a Corporate Controller to join its executive leadership team in the Johnson Creek, WI area.
This is far more than a traditional Controller role. The right person will work alongside executive leadership during a planned succession, gradually assuming responsibility for the company's financial operations while helping shape long-term business strategy. What You'll Do as the Corporate Controller:
- Lead all corporate accounting and financial reporting functions across a multi-site manufacturing organization

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and executive reporting packages

Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis that supports strategic business decisions

Develop and enhance cost accounting processes, product costing methodologies, and operational financial reporting

Analyze manufacturing performance, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, and equipment burden rates to identify opportunities for improved profitability

Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and production leadership to better understand manufacturing processes and financial drivers

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities

Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements

Lead annual audits and coordinate relationships with outside auditors, banking partners, and tax advisors

Mentor and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Participate as a trusted member of the executive leadership team, helping guide the future direction of the organization

Drive process improvements that increase financial visibility, operational efficiency, and business performance
Must-Haves as the Corporate Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA designation

10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience

Manufacturing industry experience

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls

Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on strategic business initiatives

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights

Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to learn the business from the manufacturing floor as well as the executive office

High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and business acumen
