Job Overview
Heritage is a the first of a new kind of garden center and we are looking for a passionate horticulturist to take the lead in managing our Georgetown location. Slated to open in April 2026, Heritage will be an all native plant retail garden center aiming to help customers bring ecological landscaping to their residential and commercial properties. We are seeking someone who has a strong background in native plants. They ideally will love engaging with people of diverse backgrounds and skill levels to aid them in making steps towards bringing wildlife back into their gardens. The perfect candidate will love being outdoors, educating the public and be highly organized. We are looking for someone who will be actively engaged in building this business in the long run.
Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales activities
- Manage customer interactions by providing expert advice on native plants, gardening techniques, and sustainable practices to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash register operations, POS systems, cashiering duties, and daily financial reconciliations with accuracy and integrity.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote native plant products and community programs that increase store visibility and sales.
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and payroll
- This job requires the ability to work outside in all weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs frequently and repeatedly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
